Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, stir mashed bananas and melted butter together.
  • Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  • Add the flour and walnuts last, stirring just until incorporated into the mixture.
  • To create bread, pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan and bake for precisely one hour or until a toothpick inserted into the bread emerges clean.
  •  It is imperative to allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing it and allowing it to cool entirely before serving.

The resulting loaf is incredibly moist and perfectly tender. It’s the kind of recipe you want on hand for when those overripe bananas catch your eye or when you’re craving something sweet yet wholesome. Perfect as a breakfast treat or an afternoon snack, it’s a slice of pure bliss.
